Welcome to Sts. Anthony and Frances School

Our mission is to provide our students with the best education possible through a faculty and community that supports our mission to teach and achieve

Academic Success, Responsibility and Civic Pride

Saint Anthony School opened its doors in 1953 under the guidance of a pastor and the Dominican teaching order.  Founded in 1929, Saint Frances of Rome operated independently for almost 80 years.

In September 2008, St. Anthony and St. Frances of Rome Schools were merged, creating a new school serving the northeast Bronx.

Sts. Anthony & Frances School is a small urban elementary school serving a community made up of people with different backgrounds.  It is a Catholic School that opens its doors to non-Catholics, as well.  This cultural and religious diversity reflects the situations of both the world and our society.  Our school pursues its educational goals and all activities acknowledging the essential dignity of all persons, as taught by Jesus Christ.

Today we have a completely lay faculty and principal. We are an Archdiocesan School.  Despite these changes, our goals remain the same.  Our future is bright and we are a committed to the educational community.

We are accredited by the Middle States Association.  We invite students of all faiths and their families to come visit us or call and inquire about what Saint Anthony and Frances School has to offer.
